M&A Analyst | Remote

Position: Investment Banking M&A Advisory

Type: Contract

Compensation: $175 - $300/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive company and industry research to inform data-driven AI training initiatives.
• Perform and review buyer or target screening, comparable company analysis, and financial modeling tasks.
• Build, update, and troubleshoot detailed Excel-based valuation and transaction models.
• Prepare and edit materials akin to client presentations or pitchbooks.
• Analyze and critique sample materials for numerical errors and provide actionable feedback.

Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience in M&A or industry-coverage teams at leading investment banks.
• Substantial hands-on exposure to live acquisition or sale processes with high-quality analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to produce and review analytical and presentation materials.
• Mastery in Excel modeling, including troubleshooting and scenario analysis.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
