Grid Software Product Lead / Program Director

About us
We are an early-stage, founder-led grid-technology company building AI software that helps electricity utilities study, approve and connect large new loads, such as 100–500 MW data centres, in weeks instead of months. Our two core products are capacity mapping, which shows where spare grid capacity exists for new large loads, and flexible-load interconnection, which lets large consumers adjust their demand when the grid is stressed so they can be connected sooner. Our software is designed to plug into leading utility grid-management platforms with in-country hosting.. We will serve utilities in the USA and worldwide, and we are building our first core team.
The role
You will own the product and delivery of our grid-capacity software, from the first utility pilot to a platform-ready module. You will set the roadmap, run the pilot programme and keep engineering, power-systems and utility stakeholders aligned.
What you'll do
• Own the product roadmap for capacity mapping and flexible-load interconnection
• Plan and run the first utility pilot: scope, milestones, success metrics and sign-off
• Translate utility planner and data-centre operator needs into clear product requirements
• Define integration requirements with utility grid-management platforms (ADMS, DERMS, GIS)
• Lead weekly delivery across power-systems, AI, data and platform engineers
• Prepare technical and commercial material for utility and strategic-partner meetings
• Track pilot results and build the case for scale-up to further utilities
What you bring
• 10+ years in grid software, utility technology or energy product management
• Proven delivery of software deployed at an electricity utility
• Working knowledge of interconnection studies, grid planning and utility IT/OT
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Clear written and spoken communication with utility executives
Nice to have
• Experience with ADMS, DERMS, EMS or grid-planning tools
• Background in data-centre power supply or large-load connections
• USutility experience
