The role

Initio Capital is hiring a Venture Scout to source and qualify founder prospects and schedule meetings with qualified candidates in San Francisco. This is a remote independent contractor role.

Responsibilities

• Identify founders and startups that match Initio's current qualification criteria.
• Conduct structured outreach and assess whether a prospect meets the role's qualification criteria.
• Secure the prospect's interest and schedule qualified meetings for the Initio team.
• Document relevant context and maintain accurate pipeline and follow-up records.
• Represent Initio professionally without making guarantees about funding or business results.

Qualifications

• Active relationships in the local startup community.
• Experience in startups, venture capital, angel investing, accelerators, business development, or a related field.
• Strong judgment, communication, follow-through, and respect for confidential information.

Schedule and location

The work is remote and self-directed. The contractor is expected to develop relationships in the San Francisco market and manage activity consistently.
