AI Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Overview

Seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineer to embed directly with internal teams to design, deploy, and operationalize AI solutions across cloud and sovereign environments.

The engineer will build AI agents, workflow automations, MCP server/data connector solutions, and reusable integration patterns while transferring ownership and training users.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed with internal teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Design and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered solutions.
• Build and implement workflow automations to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and deploy MCP servers and data connector solutions.
• Integrate AI solutions across cloud-to-sovereign environments.

• Develop integrations across:

• APIs

• Data pipelines

• Event streams

• Authentication / Identity systems

• Support self-hosted model deployments.

• Establish reusable AI engineering and integration patterns.

• Transfer ownership of deployed solutions to internal teams.

• Train and enable users and engineering teams on implemented solutions.

• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and operationalization.

• Apply AI solutions to functional domains such as finance, supply chain, or similar business areas.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Strong Python engineering experience.

• Hands-on experience with:

• LLM orchestration

• MCP servers

• API integrations

• Systems integration

• Workflow automation

• Strong experience integrating systems across APIs, data pipelines, event streams, and authentication.

• Experience with self-hosted model deployment.

• Experience with workflow automation platforms.

• Experience delivering solutions in DoD / Defense environments.

• Background in consulting, forward-deployed engineering, or similar client-facing technical delivery roles.

• Functional/domain experience in areas such as Finance or Supply Chain.
