Technical Co-Founder — Apt [AI/ML Full-Stack Engineer]

Hey, I'm the founder of Apt, long term operator operating multiple SME, From 12-till present. Now building Apt!

Apt is building an AI-native workplace for building and measuring professional capability through real work.

Instead of asking what someone claims they can do on a CV, Apt gives people a realistic organization, real problems, AI coworkers, and work to actually perform. The system captures how they reason, collaborate, make decisions, adapt, and execute, and turns that work into verifiable evidence of capability.

What you’ll own

You’ll own the technical direction and execution of Apt from 0→1.

• Design and build the AI-native workplace architecture.
• Build the persistent simulated organization and AI coworkers.
• Develop the capability/evidence layer that captures how people work.
• Build workflows that adapt to different professional roles.
• Design the infrastructure for human + AI-agent collaboration.
• Turn the MVP into something real users can interact with within weeks.
• Make key technical decisions around AI models, agents, memory, evaluation, data, and infrastructure.
• Eventually Own Apt's Long term technical direction and vision.

Who i am looking for

I’m looking for someone who wants to own the technical problem with me.

You should be comfortable with ambiguity, building from first principles, making trade-offs, and shipping before everything is perfect.

You might have experience with:

• Full-stack engineering
• AI/LLM applications
• Agentic systems
• Backend/platform architecture
• Databases and APIs
• Evaluation/observability systems
• Product engineering

You don’t need every skill listed. Strong technical judgment, thinking and the desire to build from zero matter more.

The opportunity

This is founding-team level, not an employee role disguised as one.

You’ll have meaningful ownership over the technical direction, product decisions, architecture, and what Apt ultimately becomes.

Extremely early. The MVP is intended to ship within ~1 month. This is an equity-based founding role initially; we grow together as Apt grows, with the goal of transitioning to a paid salary as funding and revenue allow.

Today: equity + ownership + risk.
After financing/revenue: salary + equity.
As Apt grows: compensation grows with the company.
