About the job
We're building a social platform for advertising professionals - a place where buyers and sellers connect and do business together. We're looking for a product designer with deep social product experience, an excellent eye for UI, and strong UX skills to shape it from the ground up.
This is a contract role at $50-75/hour with lots of hours available in the near and long-term. The salary range above is an annualized estimate (Wellfound doesn't support hourly rates).
If you feel like you're a great fit for this role, please go ahead and book a time on my calendar to chat. If your portfolio and background look like a fit, we'll chat! https://calendar.app.google/CN7zuBG9pKkC2jeS8
What you'll do
- Design the core experience end to end: onboarding, profiles, discovery, messaging, and engagement
- Turn product ideas into clean, intuitive web interfaces
- Establish the visual language and design system
- Prototype and iterate quickly using AI-assisted tools
- Collaborate closely with the founder on product and UX decisions
- Deliver polished, development-ready designs
What we're looking for
- Strong UX/UI portfolio with social or community products (please include examples)
- Excellent visual design skills and attention to detail
- Marketplace or two-sided platform experience is a plus
- Comfortable working independently in a zero-to-one environment
- Experience with AI design tools (e.g., Lovable, Claude Design, Figma Make)
Details
- Part-time contract
- Fully remote (global)
- Flexible hours, async collaboration
