Founding Tech Lead

We are an early stage technology company building an ambitious new platform in football, combining collecting, gaming and social competition.

Our initial platform is already substantially built and approaching launch, with game modes, real time competition, marketplaces and football data experiences, with plans to expand into building a football engine and further game modes as we scale.

Role Description

We are looking for an exceptional technical person to join the founding team.

We want to find someone with the raw ability and ambition to take significant ownership of the technology and grow with the company.

You could be an experienced engineer, a recent graduate, a student, or an independent developer. Your skills and ambition matters far more to us than how many years you've worked, and we're extremely keen to hear your ambition and personal interests, such as a love for football already, which can be extremely important.

There are opportunities to work across architecture, backend, infrastructure, real-time systems, gaming and future technical development.

Qualifications

Exceptional programming and problem-solving ability Strong understanding of software architecture and systems Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, databases and/or AWS C++, game engines, multiplayer, networking, simulations or real-time systems are particularly interesting Strong curiosity and ability to learn quickly Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership Show us what you have built. The Opportunity

This is an early founding-team opportunity with meaningful equity initially, with the intention of transitioning into a paid full-time position as the company progresses.

The exact role and title can develop around the person we find, with significant potential to become a core technical leader as the company scales.
