About the job
Unpaid. Remote, India or United States. 12 weeks.
A twelve-week, unpaid internship for students and recent graduates who want to learn how a payments-adjacent product is built carefully. You ship small, reviewed features on the app and the Index site, and leave with a portfolio of merged work.
What you will do
- Ship small features on the app and the Index site, with code review on every change.
- Learn how a payments-adjacent product is built carefully: tests, idempotency and reversibility.
- Write tests for the code you change.
- Build a portfolio of merged work you can show.
What we look for
- A student or a recent graduate, age 18 or over, in India or the United States.
- TypeScript or JavaScript you have written and can show.
- Some React, or the wish to learn it.
- Care about code that someone else can read.
Where and how
- Remote. Open to people in India and the United States.
- Twelve weeks at 10 to 15 hours a week, at times that suit your time zone.
- Mentors: Rohan Iyer and Daniel Kim.
- Broadcastwell is a team of consultants and engineers. Sairam Sivakumar, Founder, is accountable for every order.
How the work is measured
- What you learned, reviewed with your mentor at the weekly one-to-one.
- Changes merged after review.
- Tests that pass and stay passing.
What you get
- A named mentor and a weekly one-to-one.
- Real work on real categories, with published output: a byline, or named credit on a dataset or study.
- A completion certificate and a LinkedIn recommendation from the founder for work completed to standard.
- First look at paid roles, through the paid sample task that opens every hire here.
- Flexible hours across time zones, a letter for academic credit on request where your institution allows it, and the datasets, method notes and tools the work needs.
This is an unpaid, learning-first position designed so that you are the primary beneficiary: structured learning, a named mentor, no displacement of paid work, and no promise of paid employment. Open to people 18 and over.
Pay and terms: Unpaid. Twelve weeks at 10 to 15 hours a week, remote. Applications close 31 December 2026.
How we hire
- Every application is read by a person.
- One conversation with your mentor about the work and what you want to learn.
- A written plan for the twelve weeks: the hours, the learning goals and the mentor.
