Full Stack Engineer (Frontend (FE) Focused)

Class8 is building a suite of products to help trucking companies better run their business, and help them connect with freight opportunities through brokerages and other data partners. Our team works with real-time, big data across thousands of trucks, and creates apps across multiple surface areas including mobile, desktop, and embedded vehicles.

Now we’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer, with an emphasis on front-end development, to help us scale fast.

In This Role, You Will:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and document scalable web and mobile applications, with a strong focus on frontend architecture and user experience.
• Build high-quality, maintainable frontend experiences while contributing to backend services and APIs as needed.
• Write automated tests and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.
• Uphold engineering standards through code reviews, profiling, testing, and continuous improvements to code quality and performance.
• Leverage AI effectively to accelerate development, improve engineering workflows, and streamline processes such as PR reviews, code cleanup, documentation, and testing.
• Research emerging technologies and frontend best practices, and proactively advocate for improvements to our development practices, architecture, and user experience.

You’re Right For The Role If You Have These Skills:

Required:

• 3+ years of full stack development experience
• Proficient with ReactJS/NextJS, TypeScript, React Native and Python as well as modern libraries and tooling
• Proven experience in developing web and mobile applications
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and design patterns
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
• A passion for continuous improvement and finding better ways to build, ship, and maintain software
• AI-first mindset with the ability to use AI effectively to accelerate development while maintaining ownership and understanding of the code you produce
• Comfortable using AI to improve engineering workflows and processes, including PR reviews, code cleanup, documentation, testing, and other repetitive tasks

Bonus If You Have:

• Experience with building browser extensions
