AI Provider Operations

About the role

We’re looking for a technically capable AI enthusiast to discover promising models and apps, onboard providers, and bring new integrations to Openbase.

You’ll work closely with our engineering team, turning new releases into tested, documented additions to the platform. You’ll also develop tools that reduce repetitive work and help us keep our catalog accurate as the AI ecosystem evolves.

What you’ll do

Discover and evaluate

Follow AI releases and identify models, providers, apps, and frameworks worth supporting.
Maintain a prioritized backlog explaining the value and effort of each proposed addition.
Share a weekly update covering opportunities, progress, and issues requiring decisions.

Build and maintain integrations

Implement provider connections within our existing gateway architecture.
Investigate compatibility issues and coordinate fixes with engineering and external partners.
Help apps and developer tools connect to Openbase through connectors, examples, or open-source contributions.
Keep model capabilities, availability, and catalog information accurate.

Own release readiness

Verify that new additions work correctly before production release.
Check usage accounting and customer-facing configuration with the relevant technical owners.
Prepare clear handoffs for documentation, support, and launch communications.
Follow integrations after launch and resolve problems affecting adoption.

Improve daily operations

Create scripts and dashboards that make integration work easier to track.
Establish repeatable checks that catch unexpected provider behavior.
Reduce manual catalog maintenance and document how exceptions should be handled.
What we’re looking for
Around 2–3 years of relevant technical experience, with practical work you can demonstrate.
Ability to write maintainable code and investigate unfamiliar systems independently.
Experience shipping an API integration or an AI application beyond a basic prototype.
Careful judgment around production changes, credentials, and customer impact.
Clear communication with both technical colleagues and external partners.
Curiosity about AI, strong follow-through, and comfort working in an early-stage business.
Fluent English.

Useful additional experience: contributing to open-source projects, maintaining SDKs, supporting developer customers, or operating a service with usage-based billing.
