About the job

At the EIS Family of Companies, our team of licensed engineers, geologists, contractors, and specialists leverages extensive experience to deliver environmental compliance and remediation services with precision, efficiency, and safety. As part of one of the largest environmental and infrastructure service providers in the United States, EIS provides comprehensive solutions ranging from environmental consulting and regulatory compliance to full-scale decontamination and specialty infrastructure services. Our integrated approach ensures tailored, compliant solutions for both public and private sector clients nationwide, with a strong emphasis on oil and gas site assessment, remediation, and subsurface investigation.

This role will support a large oil & gas client portfolio with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and site closure under ECMC requirements. This role is based out of our Wheat Ridge, CO office with flexibility for hybrid work and periodic field and client site visits.

You will manage a high-volume portfolio of projects through the full compliance lifecycle—from initial investigation to final closure—while coordinating technical teams and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables. This is a fast-paced, technical role requiring strong regulatory knowledge, organization, and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of oil & gas remediation and compliance projects
  • Coordinate and oversee field activities, including:
  • Soil and groundwater sampling
  • Monitoring well installation
  • Remediation system implementation and oversight
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documents, including:
  • Spill reports (Form 19)
  • Site investigation and remediation plans (Form 27)
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations, including ECMC, CDPHE, and U.S. EPA requirements
  • Develop scopes of work, work plans, cost estimates, and proposals
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, invoicing, and overall financial performance
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams
  • Serve as a primary client point of contact, managing communication, expectations, and deliverables
  • Prepare and review technical reports, data summaries, and closure documentation
  • Maintain project data, tracking systems, and regulatory deadlines
  • Support additional environmental work such as Phase I/II ESAs and spill response as needed
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and project closure acceleration
  • Stay current on evolving ECMC rules and industry best practices
  • Uphold and promote company safety standards and OSHA compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of environmental experience, including project management
  • Strong working knowledge of Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) regulations, including 900 Series Rules
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Spill response and reporting (Form 19)
  • Site investigation and remediation planning (Form 27)
  • Experience with spill response, investigation, and remediation planning
  • Familiarity working with agencies such as CDPHE and U.S. EPA
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting
  • Comfortable leading field activities and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with standard office software and environmental data tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company screening requirements
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed

Preferred:

  • PEC SafeLand USA certification
  • Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with remediation system design or AutoCAD
  • Experience working directly with ECMC regulators and closure processes

Benefits

  • Full-time (40+ hours/week)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Life and disability insurance
