About Sophia: Sophia is building the world’s most intelligent matchmaker. We use AI and relationship science to understand people deeply—their personality, values, relationship style, preferences, and compatibility—and make highly tailored introductions. Instead of swiping, you talk. Sophia listens, learns who you are, and introduces you to people who fit. We’re building Sophia as a technology company and an intentionally curated network, launching market by market.

The Role: We’re looking for a highly entrepreneurial Growth Lead to build the machine that acquires Sophia’s members. Our north star isn’t traffic, followers, impressions, or leads. It’s qualified members: paying men and complimentary women who meet the criteria for the markets we’re building.

You’ll own growth online and offline—from Meta acquisition and funnel optimization to field marketing, ambassadors, and partnerships. This is a hands-on role. You might launch a Meta campaign in the morning, work with engineering on a conversion problem in the afternoon, and test a new field acquisition strategy that evening. The role is comprised of the below buckets:

Paid Acquisition

Personally build, launch, and optimize Meta campaigns. Own campaign structure, audiences, targeting, retargeting, and budgets. Develop creative hypotheses and run systematic tests across messaging, hooks, formats, and audiences. Optimize toward qualified members and CAC—not clicks or cheap leads. Identify and test new paid acquisition channels.

Growth + Product
Own the funnel from first impression through qualification, Discovery, activation, and paid conversion. Identify where qualified users drop off and work directly with engineering to fix it. Run landing page, onboarding, and conversion experiments. Ensure attribution, events, UTMs, deep links, pixels, and dashboards give us a clear picture of what is working.

Field + Ambassador Growth
Develop field marketing strategies for each market. Find creative ways to reach qualified members where they already spend time. Build the playbooks, tools, scripts, incentives, and tracking systems our ambassadors need to acquire members. Turn successful local experiments into repeatable systems we can take from city to city.

Partnerships
Build acquisition partnerships with brands, communities, creators, fitness and wellness businesses, hospitality groups, and other networks that overlap with Sophia’s audience. Own partnerships from idea and outreach through execution, attribution, and results. Prioritize partnerships that can become repeatable distribution channels.

Who you are: You’re a builder who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and getting into the weeds. The ideal candidate would:

Have 3–6+ years of exceptional growth experience, ideally in consumer technology, marketplaces, subscriptions, or another high-growth consumer business. Have personally built and scaled campaigns inside Meta Ads Manager. Understand audiences, creative testing, attribution, CAC, and conversion. Know how to turn data into hypotheses and hypotheses into experiments. Are comfortable working directly with engineers on growth problems. Can operate across paid, field, partnerships, referrals, and other acquisition channels. Move quickly, are highly resourceful, and don't need a playbook. Want to be accountable to a number. Experience with consumer AI, dating, marketplaces, membership businesses, hospitality, or wellness is a plus. Most importantly, we want someone who has actually grown something.
