Full job description
About EFS Group

At EFS Group, we serve as the outsourced CFO and strategic finance partner for growing businesses across the U.S. We help business owners understand their financial performance, improve profitability, strengthen cash flow, and make confident, data-driven decisions.

Our clients rely on us for forecasting, financial analysis, KPI reporting, budgeting, cash flow planning, and ongoing strategic financial guidance. As a Financial Analyst, you'll play a key role in delivering these insights and helping business owners turn financial data into action.

If you're looking for a role that combines financial analysis, strategic thinking, and meaningful client relationships, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a client-facing financial advisory role where you'll partner directly with business owners and leadership teams to provide the financial insights they need to grow their businesses.

Unlike a traditional Financial Analyst position, you'll do more than build reports. You'll help clients understand what their numbers mean, identify opportunities for improvement, and guide strategic business decisions. You'll become a trusted advisor, helping clients improve profitability, strengthen cash flow, and achieve their long-term goals.

What You'll Do

Build and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow models for a portfolio of clients.
Develop KPI dashboards and monthly management reports that help clients understand and improve business performance.
Analyze financial statements to identify trends, risks, profitability drivers, and growth opportunities.
Perform pricing, profitability, margin, and financial modeling analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Translate complex financial data into practical, actionable recommendations for non-financial audiences.
Conduct monthly financial review meetings and partner directly with business owners as a trusted financial advisor.
Research industry and market trends to support client strategy and long-term planning.
Collaborate with internal team members to continuously improve client outcomes and advisory processes.
What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll:

Help clients make confident, data-driven business decisions.
Deliver accurate, timely financial forecasts and reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational performance.
Build trusted relationships with business owners and executive teams.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, strategic finance, or financial advisory.
Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial audiences.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders.
Experience supporting small or mid-sized businesses.
Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting platforms.
Experience building KPI dashboards and executive reporting.
Consulting or advisory experience.
Why Join EFS Group?

At EFS Group, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on growing businesses while expanding your own expertise.
