Position Overview
Owns QuickBooks Online end to end and keeps our books reconciled and accurate. SkyAccess sells private jet charters: every trip has a customer payment in and an operator payout out, moving through multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own QuickBooks Online: chart of accounts, journal entries, classifications, month-end close.
• Recognise revenue on the departure date. Hold customer money in deferred revenue until the flight flies, then release it and book the matching operator cost in the same month.
• Reconcile revenue and cost of sales in QuickBooks against HubSpot deal records every month, trip by trip, and write up every exception that will not tie out.
• Reconcile all bank and payment accounts monthly.
• Find and correct cut-off errors, duplicate postings and misclassifications before they reach the P&L.
• Keep a documented month-end checklist and a clean audit trail: every correcting entry numbered, dated and explained.
• Deliver the monthly P&L and balance sheet, and explain the variances.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years full-cycle bookkeeping, 2+ of them as the primary owner of a QuickBooks Online file.
• Can write and post a journal entry from first principles and explain both sides of it.
• Strong on accrual accounting: deferred revenue, prepaids, accruals, cut-off.
• Has reconciled high-volume payment processors; hundreds of transactions a month.
• Spreadsheet-fluent: can take two exports and tie them out without being told how.
• Written English is clear enough to explain a variance to a non-accountant.
• Reliable overlap with US Pacific business hours.
• Finds the error and raises it. This is not a data-entry seat.

Preferred Qualifications:

• QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification.
• CPA, CMA, or an accounting degree.
• Marketplace, travel or logistics experience, where revenue and cost pair per transaction.
• HubSpot exposure.
