Network Engineer

Sierra7 is seeking an experienced Sr. Telecommunications Network Engineer to serve as a technical lead for telecommunications engineering, network analysis, customer requirements, transition planning, and technical acquisition support.

What You'll Do

• Lead telecommunications engineering and network analysis activities.
• Evaluate existing telecommunications and network configurations.
• Develop customer technical and network performance requirements.
• Support PWSs, bid models, technical evaluation plans, IGCEs, and acquisition documentation.
• Analyze transition strategies and recommend technical solutions.
• Support Fair Opportunity competitions, network migrations, and transition planning.
• Coordinate with Government personnel, vendors, and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Support cutovers, implementations, and transition troubleshooting.
• Provide technical recommendations for emerging technologies and modernization efforts.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of telecommunications or network engineering experience.
• Strong enterprise telecommunications and network engineering background.
• Experience with MPLS, Ethernet, Optical Transport, VPN, VoIP, and managed network services.
• Experience with telecommunications transitions, service provisioning, and network migrations.
• Strong technical documentation and requirements development skills.
• Experience performing technical feasibility and solution evaluations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Current T1/NACI eligibility or ability to obtain required access.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a CAC.

Preferred

• Experience supporting DoD, DISA, DITCO, EIS, NETWORX, CVS, or large-scale telecommunications transition programs.
• Experience developing network-focused PWSs and acquisition documentation.
• Knowledge of voice, wireless, satellite, and enterprise networking technologies.
• CCNP, CCIE, MEF, ITIL, or equivalent certification.
