Remote Freelance Programmer – Mid-Senior / Senior

E-Net Co., Ltd. is a Tokyo-based IT and software development company established in 2000. We work with experienced international freelance developers on business systems, web applications and mobile solutions for client projects coordinated from Japan.

This role is for Mid-Senior to Senior professionals who can take ownership of assigned development work and deliver reliably without close supervision.

What you’ll do

Develop, test and maintain custom business applications, web services and mobile software
Diagnose software issues and implement reliable updates
Optimize code performance where required
Own assigned work and communicate blockers early
Deliver production-ready work against agreed milestones
Coordinate with Tokyo-based project teams on requirements, delivery status and technical questions

What we’re looking for

Mid-Senior to Senior professional software-development experience
Strong web/application development skills
Experience with relevant frameworks and database integration
Production troubleshooting capability
Ability to estimate work, communicate clearly and deliver reliably in a remote contractor environment
Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical professional experience

Language & working setup

Excellent written and spoken professional English
100% remote

No relocation to Japan required

Contract & compensation

Independent-contractor / freelance engagement
Indicative annualized compensation: ¥3.55M–¥4.11M
Final compensation may vary according to experience, technical background, project scope and engagement structure
Contractor compensation may ultimately be agreed on an hourly or project basis
Potential for recurring or extended projects where there is a strong technical, communication and delivery fit

The original approved remote listing specifies negotiable hourly or project-based compensation; the ¥3.55M–¥4.11M annualized range is the benchmark we are now adding for Wellfound.
