IrukaDark is a desktop AI assistant built for the small but constant tasks that slow down daily PC work.

With a simple shortcut, users can instantly summarize, translate, rewrite, proofread, understand copied text, organize notes, and process information without breaking their workflow.

Unlike long-running autonomous AI agents, IrukaDark is designed as a “Super-Sub AI”: fast, lightweight, always close to the user, and focused on helping people think, read, write, and work faster in the moment.

We are now expanding IrukaDark globally and are looking for an early engineer to help us build a fast, practical, and delightful desktop AI product.

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on software engineer who can help build and improve IrukaDark across desktop app development, AI integration, user experience, performance, and product quality.

This is an early-stage role. You will work closely with the founding team and have a direct impact on the product, technical decisions, and user experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building fast user-facing products, working with AI APIs, improving UX details, and shipping quickly.

This is intended for those who have experience using IrukaDark as a user. Without the user's perspective, it is impossible to develop excellent UX.

Responsibilities
・Build and improve the IrukaDark desktop application
・Develop features for summarization, translation, rewriting, proofreading, task handling, note organization, and AI-assisted workflows
・Integrate AI models and APIs into the product
・Improve app speed, reliability, and usability
・Design smooth shortcut-based workflows for daily PC tasks
・Fix bugs, improve edge cases, and polish the user experience
・Work with the team to turn user feedback into product improvements
・Help define the technical direction of an early-stage AI product

Requirements
・Experience building software products with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages
・Experience with frontend or desktop application development
・Interest in AI tools, productivity software, and human-computer interaction
・Ability to build quickly, test ideas, and improve based on feedback
・Strong problem-solving skills and attention to user experience
・Comfortable working remotely and independently
・Ability to communicate clearly in English

Nice to Have
・Experience with Electron, Tauri, Swift, Windows app development, or macOS app development
・Experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other AI models
・Experience building productivity tools, browser extensions, developer tools, or desktop utilities
・Experience with performance optimization
・Experience designing keyboard shortcuts, clipboard workflows, or system-level utilities
・Interest in UX, product design, or growth
