Technical Systems Analyst

Location: Petersburg, VA 23803

Contract: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Technical Systems Analyst to assess, maintain, and support the district s technology environment, including hardware, software, systems, and upcoming technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot issues, maintain IT assets, and assist with technology planning and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess technology needs across hardware, software, systems, and upcoming initiatives.
• Track technology projects, issues, concerns, and action items.
• Provide technical support for applications, computers, hardware, peripherals, phones, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, analyze, repair, upgrade, and replace computer systems and related equipment.
• Guide and coach end users through hardware, software, and technology-related issues.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and system documentation.
• Review technology equipment requirements and provide procurement recommendations.
• Maintain appropriate security controls for software and related systems.
• Advise users on technology solutions that support business and operational needs.
• Coordinate with VDH IT Operations Center, Information Security Office, and VITA for escalations and technical guidance.
• Escalate critical technology issues, outages, and security concerns as appropriate.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting office relocations, including server moves and telephone/communications setup.
• Experience with IT asset management, end-user support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and enterprise technology environments.
