We're hiring a Sales Director to join our buy-side business: brands and the agencies that support them.

This is a revenue-growth oriented role and it comes with an unusual advantage. Hundreds of major brands already run Upwave studies every quarter through Upwave’s platform partners (DSP’s, RMN’s & Publishers). The objective of this role is to help Upwave grow via direct brand and agency partnerships.

This role will be based in New York.

What you'll do

• Own a named list of brands and their agencies. Win new logos and grow existing customers
• Sell measurement, not media. Our customers are brand and insights leads, media directors, and the teams who execute for them
• Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting, relationship development, and consultative solution selling
• Partner closely with internal teams (Marketing, Product, and Customer Success) to ensure seamless onboarding and customer satisfaction.
• Represent Upwave in market — industry events, trade press, the rooms where brand measurement gets discussed

About you

• You have 8+ years selling in digital media, adtech or measurement, with a track record of closing new business
• You have real relationships on the buy side — brand marketers, insights leaders, and the agency planners and investment teams who sit between them
• You've sold measurement, not impressions
• You know what brand lift is and can hold a credible conversation about methodology without reaching for a solutions engineer on the first call
• You can make complexity sound simple. Our product is genuinely technical and our buyers are genuinely busy. Both things have to be true at once in how you manage pitch conversations

Bonus points

• You understand how platform buying has changed who actually holds the measurement decision
• You've worked with linear or cross-platform measurement
• You use AI tools with real fluency and have found leverage with them in a previous role
• You care about the underlying problem: helping advertisers prove that brand spend worked

Additional Information:

The annual base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $150,000, plus commission, equity and benefits.. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
