Location: Austin, TX (3 days onsite)

Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows on DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Support and enhance enterprise Data Warehouse architectures, including dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT pipelines.
Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation and batch scheduling.
Work with Mainframe datasets and utilities to extract and integrate data.
Build and support datasets and data models for IBM Cognos Analytics reporting.
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Troubleshoot data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Advanced SQL expertise across DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts (ETL, dimensional modeling, data marts, OLAP).
Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (bash, ksh, etc.).
Experience working with Mainframe systems (JCL, datasets, utilities).
Hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics or similar BI tools.
