Apigee Developer

• API Management team is responsible for the process, controls, security, publishing, consumption, monitoring and overall governance of APIs on Apigee platform .
• This is a Global team with members in US & India - need to have clear/well spoken English
• 7am-12pm CDT (Chicago time) overlap is required daily

● Hands on experience with Apigee X with GCP .
● Apigee Edge experience is ideal but familiarity with AWS API Gateway or Azure API Manager/Gateway is acceptable.
● Candidates should understand HTTP methods (POST, GET, etc.) and API design principles.
● Swagger & Postman proficiency is required, and linting tools like Spectral
● Understanding of OAuth 2.0, TLS, and security standards.
● Familiarity with metrics and visualization tools (Kibana, Grafana, etc.).
● Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar).

Soft Skills:
● Strong communication skills (VERY good English, minimal language barriers).
● Ability to negotiate and persuade without being aggressive.
● Someone who is ok with getting corrections on their work
● Good time management and ability to work under pressure

Desired:
*Familiarity working in a Scrum environment
*Familiarity with public cloud platforms like AWS/GCP
*Familiarity with ADO/GitHub

A typical Day

1. Reviewing OAS /Swaggers - Operational
2. Developing Proxies - API operations and developing API proxies in Apigee.
3. Rotational weekly On Call Support /Incident Management using Service Now.
4. Other Development Tasks like GitHub.
5. Extensive documentation and training available for those willing to learn.
