About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Director – Data & AI to lead our enterprise Data, Analytics, AI, and Databricks practice. This strategic leadership role combines practice leadership, solution architecture, client advisory, delivery governance, capability development, and business growth responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in modern Data & AI platforms, Databricks Lakehouse architecture, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Advanced Analytics, and Cloud technologies. They will be responsible for helping clients define and execute enterprise-wide data transformation strategies while building scalable, secure, and AI-ready data platforms.

This individual will work closely with C-level stakeholders, business leaders, solution architects, data scientists, engineering teams, and sales leadership to drive strategic initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Governance & Program Leadership

• Provide executive oversight for large-scale Data & AI transformation programs.
• Ensure delivery excellence across analytics, AI, and modernization engagements.
• Govern solution quality, delivery risks, architecture compliance, and program health.
• Manage multi-million-dollar programs, budgets, staffing plans, and delivery KPIs.
• Lead global teams across Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Analytics, and Cloud disciplines.

Client & Executive Stakeholder Management

• Act as the executive point of contact for client delivery leadership.
• Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects, and Business Leaders.
• Conduct steering committee reviews, executive status reporting, risk reviews, and program governance meetings.
• Align modernization initiatives with business objectives, transformation goals, and expected outcomes.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Databricks & Modern Data Platform Leadership

• Lead enterprise Databricks implementations and Lakehouse modernization initiatives.
• Design scalable Data Lakehouse architectures using Databricks.
• Drive adoption of:

Leadership & Organizational Development

• Build, mentor, and develop delivery managers, program managers, architects, and engineering leaders.
• Establish a culture of accountability, innovation, customer obsession, and delivery excellence.
• Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, succession planning, and performance development.
• Drive capability development across modernization, cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, and AI-enabled transformation services.
• Foster collaboration across global and distributed delivery teams.

Business Growth & Strategic Initiatives

• Partner with sales and solution teams during pre-sales engagements.
• Support strategic solutioning, transformation workshops, executive presentations, and proposal reviews.
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing client accounts.
• Contribute to practice growth strategies and modernization offerings.
• Represent the organization as a trusted modernization advisor and thought leader.

Required Experience

• 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, AI, or Enterprise Architecture.
• Minimum 7+ years leading enterprise Data & AI programs.
• Strong experience delivering large-scale Databricks-based transformation initiatives.
• Proven success building Data & AI practices, Centers of Excellence, or consulting organizations.
