About the job

Pay with Spire is rebuilding in-store payments around one idea: pay-by-bank should work as well as a card, cost merchants less, and put loyalty back in the merchant's hands. We're the only platform doing this at scale without forcing merchants to replace their existing checkout systems - and we're growing fast in fuel, convenience, and grocery, categories where transaction cost and loyalty economics matter most.
We're looking for a Product Manager to own delivery across one or more of our core segments: enrollments, transactions, and settlements. You'll be the connective tissue between merchant and consumer needs, business priorities, and the engineers building the platform, and your work will show up directly in transaction-volume and enrollment-conversion goals.
What you'll own:
- The backlog and feature delivery for your product area, with clear, well-specified user stories and acceptance criteria
- Translating strategy into a sequenced, deliverable roadmap for Engineering
- A daily partnership with Engineering to ship on a predictable cadence, removing ambiguity and unblocking delivery
- Enrollment-conversion and transaction-growth opportunities, sized and sequenced using data
- Feature-level success metrics, tracked and reported against goals
- Input from Customer Success, Support, Operations & Risk, and merchants - synthesized into prioritized requirements
What you bring:
- 10+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or platform/SaaS products
- A demonstrated ability to write clear user stories and manage a backlog through to delivery
- Experience partnering closely with engineering teams in an agile model
- Strong analytical instincts and comfort using data to prioritize and measure outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have: experience with payments, pay-by-bank, card, or consumer enrollment/onboarding products; a track record improving conversion or adoption funnels; familiarity with settlement or transaction-processing workflows; experience working within risk/compliance constraints on a regulated product.
Requirements: If not based in Dallas, regular travel to Dallas office is required, and ability to travel regularly for team events, partner meetings, merchant visits, and industry conferences. This role needs to be visibly and deeply engaged with the business.
What we offer:
- Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience
- Equity participation
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Discretionary PTO and 401(k)
