SDET/QA Engineer

Key Skills & Requirements

•2+ years of experience in SDET, QA Automation, or Software Testing.
•2 years of hands-on experience with Python programming.
•Strong knowledge of Manual and Automation Testing.
•Hands-on experience with Selenium/Playwright, Pytest, Postman, UnitTest.
•Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
•Knowledge of UI, Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, Unit Testing, Stress Testing and End-to-End testing.
•Experience in Performance and Load Testing.
•Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
•Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
•Strong understanding of Monolithic and Microservices architecture and their testing approaches.
•Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, and API validation.
•Experience with SQL/database testing and writing basic SQL queries.
•Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
•Good knowledge of Git/GitHub and version control practices.
•Experience working with test automation frameworks, reusable test scripts, and test data management.
•Knowledge of defect management tools such as Jira.
•Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
•Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
•Plan and execute manual and automated testing across web, mobile, API, and backend applications.
•Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts.
•Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, API, performance, and end-to-end testing.
•Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using tools such as Jira.
•Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with developers to resolve issues.
•Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
•Develop and maintain API automation and UI automation suites.
•Perform database validation using SQL queries.
•Test applications built using Monolithic and Microservices architectures.
•Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
•Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on application testability and quality.
•Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage.
•Review system requirements and identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle.
•Improve automation coverage, testing processes, frameworks, and overall QA efficiency.
•Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and defects.
•Stay updated with new QA, automation, performance testing, and SDET tools and practices.
