Web Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Development Lead/Manager to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for leading the development of scalable web applications, mentoring developers, and driving architectural decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, with a strong emphasis on modern JavaScript technologies.

Key Responsibilities

🚧 Architecture & Development

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable full-stack applications
• Architect robust and maintainable systems using Next.js, React.js, Node.js and modern front-end frameworks
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures
• Build and integrate APIs using REST, SOAP, Webhooks, and GraphQL
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices

🔗 Integration & Systems Design

• Translate business requirements into technical designs and solution architectures
• Lead application integration strategies across internal and external systems
• Define standards for API design, scalability, and security

👥 Leadership & Delivery

• Lead Agile delivery: backlog grooming, sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure engineering excellence
• Drive team productivity and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture

⚙️ DevOps & Production Support

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Work with operations teams to enable monitoring and alerting (Splunk, Nagios, etc.)
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of applications
• Act as the point of contact for critical P1/P2 production issues (on-call support)

🛣️ Strategy & Modernization

• Define and execute a technical roadmap for platform modernization
• Lead migration of legacy applications to modern full-stack platforms
• Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and frameworks

🔹 Required Qualifications

✅ Core Skills

• Proven ability to architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
• Strong experience with microservices architecture
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledgebase artifacts

✅ Backend Development

• Deep expertise in Node.js
• Experience with Express.js / Next.js
• Strong API development experience (REST, GraphQL, integrations)
• Strong database experience:
• SQL: MS SQL, Oracle
• NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis

✅ Frontend Development

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with modern frameworks:
• React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
• Strong understanding of responsive design, HTML, CSS, and UI frameworks

✅ DevOps & Infrastructure

• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Containerization (Docker, Podman)
• Messaging/queues (RabbitMQ preferred)
• Monitoring & logging (Splunk, Nagios, or similar tools)

✅ Leadership Experience

• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience
• Ownership mindset with ability to drive outcomes and support team success

• Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)
• Experience with large-scale application modernization initiatives
