Tech Lead Manager, Integration

We are founder led, Series A, with a team of over 60 and growing. We are headquarted in New York City with additional hybrid offices in San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver.

The role

Location: SF Hybrid (in-office schedule TBD, starting at 1 day/week) or Vancouver, Canada (once a month get togethers)

Compensation: 200-300k

Reports to: Director of Engineering, Weichen Wang

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building scalable, reliable distributed systems
• 2+ years leading engineers as a tech lead or people manager
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS (Ruby or Python experience is a plus)
• A track record building integration systems — API connectors, webhook infrastructure, data sync pipelines, or iPaaS-style platforms
• Hands-on experience with external databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Snowflake) and cloud/containerized architectures
• Early-stage startup experience (Seed to Series C) — comfortable wearing multiple hats and moving fast

Bonus points if you have

• Experience with workforce management, HR tech, or B2B SaaS platforms
• A background designing third-party API integration frameworks or developer-facing SDKs
• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered data pipelines
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, BullMQ)

What you'll do

• Split your time roughly 70/30 between hands-on engineering and people leadership
• Design and build API connectors, data sync pipelines, and webhook infrastructure that keep our integration layer running at five-nines accuracy with near real-time sync
• Write production code, review pull requests, and drive architectural decisions across the stack
• Manage and coach a team of engineers, owning their growth, performance, and career development
• Drive hiring for the team, from defining the role through final decisions
• Partner with product management and engineering leadership to shape the team's roadmap and priorities
• Champion reliability, automation, and continuous improvement across the org
