About the job
Twyce Holdings is hiring a founding engineer for our private wealth platform.
We are building a private-wealth product that consolidates holdings across institutions into one auditable picture. There is an existing TypeScript/Next.js front end; you are here to productionise the first real version behind it.
This is a security-and-data-engineering role before it is an LLM role. The hard parts are the ledger and the ingestion path, not the model.
What you will own
- A bitemporal ledger with full provenance — every figure traceable to the statement, feed or correction it came from.
- Statement ingestion that survives hostile input: untrusted PDFs and exports from many institutions, normalised into one auditable model.
- Tenant isolation that is tested, not merely designed.
- A reconciliation and review queue, so breaks surface to a human instead of silently resolving.
- Institution and market data integrations, with sensible failure behaviour when a source is late, wrong or down.
What strong looks like
- Strong TypeScript, and real comfort in the data layer — Postgres, schema design, migrations, correctness under concurrency.
- You have built something where getting the data model wrong would have been expensive, and you can explain how you modelled time and corrections.
- Security instincts: authentication and authorisation boundaries, secrets handling, least privilege, and an honest account of how you have tested isolation.
- Financial or regulated-data experience is a strong plus; obsessive care about reconciliation matters more than domain vocabulary.
How we work
Remote and async-first, with meaningful UK/Europe overlap. An internal agent fleet removes admin and accelerates research, implementation and QA — but you own engineering judgment and every production outcome. Code, infrastructure accounts and documentation stay business-owned, so no individual becomes a single point of failure.
Revenue-funded, not runway-funded. The first design partners are warm.
Process
Intro call, then a paid trial task (~4 hours, paid at £150–250), then a 30-minute live session where you extend your own submission, then terms.
