GCP Data Engineer – DBT / Airflow / BigQuery

About the Role

We are looking for experienced GCP Data Engineers with strong hands-on expertise in DBT, Apache Airflow and BigQuery. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows.
Develop data transformation models using DBT.
Build and maintain workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
Develop and optimize analytical solutions using Google BigQuery.
Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
Perform data cleansing, transformation and validation.
Develop reusable and maintainable data transformation processes.
Optimize data pipelines and queries for performance and scalability.
Integrate data from multiple source systems.
Monitor pipeline execution and troubleshoot failures.
Implement data quality and validation checks.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements.
Participate in development, testing, deployment and production support.
Maintain technical documentation for pipelines, transformations and data models.

Candidate Profile

5–10 years of Data Engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with GCP.
Strong experience with BigQuery, DBT and Airflow.
Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
Experience building production-grade data pipelines.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related discipline preferred.
