DESCRIPTION

Cresflo is loan management software for private commercial real estate lenders in Canada. Our customers finance construction projects, bridge deals and commercial properties, and run their loan books on our platform — origination through servicing, payments, defaults and payoffs, with the accounting underneath.

We are hiring a senior full-stack engineer to build across that platform. Most of the work comes down to getting numbers right. Interest, payment allocation, default premiums and payoff figures all have to agree with each other, across the schedule, the ledger and the screen a lender is looking at. A one-cent difference is a bug we go and find.

You will work in TypeScript across the stack — Postgres and Prisma, Express services, Next.js and React — and on our AI Advisor, which answers questions about a lender's portfolio in plain language.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build features end to end: schema, data access, services and business rules, API, React UI, tests, deploy.
• Extend the lending engine — new loan products, schedule types, fee structures, lifecycle transitions and reporting.
• Keep every surface in agreement. One payment moves several parts of the system, and they all have to say the same thing afterwards.
• Build AI features on top of live loan data, including the guardrails that make an answer safe to put in front of a lender.
• Write and maintain tests. Correctness here is enforced by the test suite, not by hoping.
• Review code, ship to production, watch it, and fix it when it breaks.
• Work directly with the founder and with lenders using the product.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Work arrives as problems rather than tickets. Some days that is a small, visible change a lender asked for; other days it is a number that does not reconcile and the hours it takes to find out why. You decide what matters first, and you carry it through to production.

Collaboration is written. You share what you shipped and where you are stuck at the end of your day, and answers are waiting the next morning. A couple of live calls a week cover the rest.

CAREERS AT CRESFLO

Cresflo is a small team. Nobody sits between you and the decision, and you will have more say in what gets built than the size of the company suggests. You will also pick up work that isn't strictly yours.

The lending domain takes time to learn, and we don't expect you to arrive knowing it. We do expect you to want to. The role is remote from anywhere in India, and we work asynchronously.

CONTRACT AND COMPENSATION

• Six-month contract, with the option to extend
• ₹20–30 lakh per annum, depending on experience
• Remote from anywhere in India
• This is a contract engagement, so statutory benefits such as PF, gratuity and paid leave are not included

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of backend development with Node.js, or another server-side language with willingness to work in Node.js
• 2+ years of frontend development with React, or a comparable modern JavaScript framework
• 2+ years of professional TypeScript
• 2+ years working with a relational database, including schema design, migrations, transactions and query performance
• Experience designing and building web services and APIs
• Experience using AI tools in day-to-day development, and the judgment to check and correct what they produce
• Comfortable working asynchronously across a wide time-zone gap, with a few scheduled calls each week outside standard IST hours
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in lending, payments, accounting, or another domain where the numbers have to reconcile
• Experience shipping features backed by large language models — prompt design, tool calling, streaming, evaluation and guardrails
• Experience with Next.js App Router, React Server Components and Prisma
• Experience writing end-to-end or browser-based tests
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring
• Experience building a product that ships in more than one language
• Experience mentoring engineers
• Experience at an early-stage startup, working directly with customers
