About Wevise
Wevise is a mission-driven organization building meaningful mentorship experiences that connect people and create lasting impact. Through structured cohort-based programming, Wevise pairs mentors and mentees to support growth, learning, and community. We're expanding our flagship 16-week mentorship program and looking for a thoughtful, experienced leader to help shape what that experience looks and feels like at scale.
The Opportunity
As Program Design Lead, you'll be at the heart of Wevise's growth — working directly with our Programs and Product teams to design, refine, and scale our 16-week mentorship experience. This is a hands-on, high-impact volunteer role for someone who loves building the structures and systems that help people thrive.
You'll own the participant journey: developing resources for mentors and mentees, establishing program scaffolding, and laying the groundwork that allows us to grow cohort size and reach without losing quality or connection.
This role is ideal for someone who has built programs before — whether in nonprofits, learning & development, community management, or operations — and wants to apply that expertise in service of a mission they care about.
What You'll Do
Design the participant journey for mentorship cohorts, mapping the full experience from onboarding through program completion
Develop resources for mentors and mentees including guides, check-in frameworks, milestone materials, and engagement touchpoints
Build systems and structures that support consistent program delivery and can scale with organizational growth
Collaborate cross-functionally with the Programs and Product teams to align program design with platform capabilities and organizational goals
Establish standards for future program scaling, including documentation and repeatable processes
Identify gaps and iterate on the program model based on participant feedback and best practices in learning design and community building
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
Proven experience designing, launching, or scaling programs, learning experiences, or communities
Background in one or more of the following areas: nonprofit programs, learning & development, instructional design, community building, member experience, or program operations
Familiarity with mentorship models, cohort-based learning, or peer support programs is a strong plus
Skills & Approach
Strong communicator — written and verbal — who can translate ideas into clear frameworks and materials
Collaborative by nature; comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a remote, async environment
Systems thinker who can balance the big picture with the practical details of program execution
Self-directed and able to manage your own time and deliverables with minimal oversight
Genuinely committed to creating meaningful, human-centered experiences
Time Commitment & Schedule
This is a volunteer position requiring approximately 5–10 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible — weekdays, weekends, daytime, or evenings all work.
