About the job

Position Summary

Blue Shore HR is seeking a Business Development & Client Partnerships Representative to expand the firm's client base by developing new business relationships and strategic referral partnerships. This role is responsible for identifying companies that can benefit from outsourced HR support, educating prospective clients on Blue Shore's service offerings, and managing opportunities through the sales process to a successful close.

Blue Shore is a fractional HR firm serving small and mid-sized businesses across the United States. We provide flexible, a la carte HR solutions that support employers throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding. Our services include HR compliance, employee relations, handbook development, payroll administration, policy development, workplace investigations, leave administration, performance management, training, and ongoing HR support. Clients are not required to change payroll providers or implement new software, allowing us to integrate seamlessly into their existing operations.

This position is not limited to a specific industry or geographic territory. Representatives are encouraged to develop business within industries and professional networks where they have established relationships and expertise.

Essential Responsibilities

The Business Development & Client Partnerships Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities through networking, referrals, community involvement, strategic outreach, and relationship development. Responsibilities include building relationships with business owners, executives, nonprofit leaders, and referral partners; identifying prospective organizations that can benefit from Blue Shore's HR consulting and payroll support services; conducting discovery meetings, presenting service offerings, preparing proposals, and closing new business; developing and maintaining a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities; representing Blue Shore at networking events, business organizations, and community functions; and maintaining professional communication and follow-up throughout the sales process.

Compensation

This is a 100% commission-based position designed for professionals seeking unlimited earning potential through business development. Compensation includes highly competitive, uncapped commissions, residual commissions on recurring service agreements for as long as the client relationship remains active, additional commissions on project-based consulting engagements, profit-sharing opportunities as the company continues to grow, and reimbursement for approved business development and networking expenses.

What Blue Shore Provides

Blue Shore is committed to providing the resources necessary for business development success. Representatives receive administrative and operational support for onboarding and servicing new clients, sales support, proposal development and service scoping assistance, lead lists, access to the firm's established service catalog, pricing, and sales/marketing materials, collaboration with the founder and leadership team during the sales process when needed, access to the founder's professional network and strategic relationships, office space for meetings and work if desired, and the flexibility to develop an individual sales strategy, manage a personal schedule, and determine earning potential based on performance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in business development, outside sales, account management, or relationship-based B2B sales is preferred. Experience selling professional services, consulting, payroll, HR, insurance, or other business services is a plus. Candidates should possess strong networking and relationship-building skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently in a performance-driven environment, and a professional presence with the ability to build credibility and long-term client relationships.
