About the job
About Us
Altro powers the next generation of wellness businesses with clinical infrastructure built for growth.
We're building a platform that enables wellness businesses to offer clinical services they currently can't provide on their own, including blood testing, prescriptions, and peptides, supervised by a clinical team. Think Shopify for wellness businesses.
The team behind Altro has done this before: Harvard Business School MBAs and a second-time founder, alongside operators and executives who've taken startups through exits as founding-team members. We're backed by top venture capital firms.
The tailwinds are massive: Peptides going mainstream, GLP-1s unlocking the category, the longevity movement in full swing, and AI unlocking what wasn't possible a year ago.
We're still early. Which means every hire matters. Join at the ground floor, work directly with the founders, and be part of something rare: a company at the intersection of a massive market shift and the moment when AI is reshaping what small teams can build.
The Role
We're looking for a Partner Success Manager to own the relationships that make Altro's platform work — our wellness practitioner partners.
You'll work directly with the Founder & CEO and oversee a team of Partner Success Specialists, giving you a front-row seat to building a high-growth startup. This is the person who takes our early Partner Success function and scales it as our partner base grows. You'll refine what's working, fix what isn't, and help hire the rest of the team as we expand.
This role requires:
- Customer success or account management experience — you know what great looks like and can build it here
- Process-builder mindset — you can create structure where there is none, without getting precious about it
- Startup DNA — you've been early before and you know what it takes
- Comfort with ambiguity — priorities shift and you'll be building the process while running it
This is a high-ownership, high-context role. If you thrive in environments where you can execute against a clear vision, shape how things get built, and use every tool available to move faster — this is for you.
If you're looking for a structured role at a mature company, this isn't it.
This role is based in NYC (3 days at our office in midtown, the rest remote).
Requirements
What You'll Do
- Own the partner relationship — your team will serve as the primary point of contact for Altro's wellness partners from onboarding through long-term success
- Build the support playbook — build scalable support process so partners can leverage all the platform’s capabilities and succeed
- Drive partner activation and engagement — monitor partner usage and proactively reach out to ensure partners are active, informed, and getting value from the platform
- Create partner-facing resources — develop guides, FAQs, training materials, and educational content that helps partners succeed independently
- Be the voice of the partner internally — collect feedback, surface insights, and collaborate with the product and clinical teams to continuously improve the partner experience
- Track and report on partner health — maintain accurate records; flag risks early and escalate appropriately
- Support retention and growth — identify opportunities to deepen partner relationships and contribute to renewal and expansion initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally – Partner with the sales team on partner handoffs, and with the tech and ops team on feedback loops that improve our acquisition and retention motion.
- Build the team — this is a founding role; as Altro grows, you'll help hire and mentor the Partner Success team below you
Who You Are
- 4–6 years of experience in a customer success, or account management role, including at least 1-2 years managing team members.
- Early-stage startup experience — you've worked in a small, fast-moving company before and you know how to operate without a manual
- A natural organizer — you bring clarity to complexity and can put order to chaos without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
- Process-driven but flexible — you love a good system, but you know when to throw it out and improvise
- Entrepreneurial — you spot opportunities, scope solutions, and drive things to completion without being told
- Tech savvy — you pick up new tools quickly and are comfortable using customer support or account management software, AI, and other tools
- A strong communicator — you can translate complex concepts into plain, accessible language for non-technical audiences
- Execution-focused — you're energized by getting things done, not debating strategy in the abstract
- Healthcare or wellness experience is a plus, but not required — we'll teach you the industry if you bring the skills
Benefits
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $120,000 – $150,000, depending on experience
- Equity: Equity grant with meaningful upside as we scale
- Health benefits: Medical, dental, and vision — 100% covered by Altro
- Commuter benefits
- One Medical membership
- Peloton Digital membership
- Learning and development budget
- $150/month reimbursement for Altro products
Why This Role
This is a founding team seat at a seed-stage company with a real wedge into a growing market and the resources to scale fast. You'll have the autonomy to build Altro's partner success function from the ground up, the proximity to founders to learn directly from experienced operators, and equity to participate in the upside as we grow.
You'll be doing it at one of the most interesting moments in health and wellness in a decade — when AI, GLP-1s, peptides, and the longevity movement are reshaping what's possible. The person who joins now will help define how Altro serves the next generation of wellness businesses at scale.
