Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in enterprise virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, Windows infrastructure, and data center operations. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and modernizing the Bank's infrastructure while ensuring the availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.
The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure engineer who can contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up and provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers. This is not a traditional network administration role; the primary focus is enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, and enterprise virtualization services.
- Manage and support NetApp storage environments, including provisioning, snapshots, replication, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Administer Veeam Backup & Replication, ensuring successful backups, disaster recovery readiness, and regular recovery validation.
- Manage Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services, and related core technologies.
- Support enterprise server platforms including Dell, HPE, and Cisco UCS.
- Monitor and troubleshoot virtualization, storage, server, operating system, and infrastructure performance issues.
- Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, firmware updates, hardware refreshes, and lifecycle management.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure resiliency initiatives.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, standards, and diagrams.
- Collaborate with networking, cybersecurity, application support, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve complex production issues.
- Participate in infrastructure modernization projects involving virtualization, storage, backup, automation, and cloud technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and act as a senior escalation point for critical production incidents.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
- Strong experience administering VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi and vCenter.
- Hands-on experience supporting NetApp storage platforms.
- Experience administering Veeam Backup & Replication in enterprise environments.
- Strong Windows Server administration skills, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and PowerShell.
- Experience supporting enterprise server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS, or equivalent).
- Experience with SAN/NAS technologies and enterprise data center operations.
- Experience supporting highly available production environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across virtualization, storage, backup, and Windows infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
- Microsoft Windows Server or Azure certifications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or other infrastructure automation tools
- Financial services or other regulated industry experience

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $180,000 to $195,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
