Technical Co-Founder

We are building the operating system for Sweden's physical second-hand economy, and we need the engineering co-founder who makes it scale.

Sweden has SEK 17 billion in second-hand transactions every year. Six hundred physical stores across the country hold curated, restocked, quality-checked inventory across fashion, homeware, electronics, and furniture. Almost none of it reaches an online buyer — not because demand doesn't exist, but because the infrastructure connecting physical stores and individual sellers to digital buyers has never been built properly.

CircuCity is building that infrastructure. The product is live. Store partners are signed. Individual sellers are onboarding. The model is working. What we need now is the technical mind who sees the full scope of what this becomes and wants to own the engineering function as we scale it.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
You will be responsible for all technical decisions and delivery across the CircuCity platform — the AI-assisted listing engine that reduces a store's listing time from 27 hours to 90 minutes, the inventory sync layer that keeps physical and digital stock aligned in real time, the buyer-facing marketplace and search experience, the store management dashboard, and the EcoToken sustainability mechanic validated against Ecoinvent lifecycle data.

You will make architecture decisions. You will write code. You will hire and lead engineers as the team grows. You will sit in investor meetings and speak to our technical credibility. You are a co-founder, not a senior hire.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You have built and shipped production systems that serve real users at scale (not prototypes). You are experienced with marketplace platforms, e-commerce infrastructure, or two-sided networks and understand what makes them hard. You are an all-rounder: the technical problems here span AI integration, real-time data sync, search and discovery, and eventually payments and logistics. You know enough about each to architect the right solution and hire the right people when the time comes.

Shopify app development experience is a strong advantage — it unlocks our fastest distribution channel.

WHAT WE OFFER
This is an equity-only role at the pre-seed stage. No salary until the pre-seed round closes. The right person will already know what that means. Equity of 12–18% structured with a one-year cliff and four-year vest, the specific number reflects timing of join and contribution to the raise.

A founding team with domain credibility. A live product with paying customers and signed store partners. And a market that is tripling in a decade with no dominant infrastructure player yet.
