PART-TIME ACCOUNTANT

About the Role :

Merits Capital, a leading wealth and investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain the company's books of accounts.
• Handle day-to-day payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
• Record financial transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end account reconciliations.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and financial records.
• Coordinate with auditors, vendors, banks, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, statutory regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support management with financial reporting and analysis.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or equivalent accounting software.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
