About the job

Company Description Array Technologies, Inc., founded in 2000 and based in Glastonbury, CT, is a specialized engineering firm focused on research and development in industrial control, printing, and imaging. The team includes electrical engineers, computer scientists, and technicians who collaborate to design, develop, and manufacture high-tech products, software, firmware, and systems. The company develops state-of-the-art solutions using cutting-edge hardware and tools, and is a licensed technology partner of Hewlett-Packard and Kyocera, serving OEMs and dealers such as Pitney Bowes. With an intellectual property–driven, low-volume, high-margin business model, Array Technologies delivers practical, advanced technology into traditionally low-tech environments. Continued revenue and profit growth, along with strategic acquisitions, provide an exciting environment with strong opportunities for ambitious professionals.

Role Description This full-time Senior Software Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Glastonbury, CT, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain software solutions for industrial printing and control systems, including embedded software, drivers, and application-level code. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and technicians to define requirements, architect systems, and integrate hardware and software components. The role involves writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code (C++, C#), performing code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing performance across embedded and back-end systems. The Senior Software Engineer will also contribute to technical decision-making, mentor less-experienced team members, and help drive innovation using modern tools, interfaces, and processors.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science principles and software engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in Software Development and Programming (C++, C#), with experience across the full development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, services, and integration with hardware or device controllers.
  • Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and designing modular, maintainable systems.
  • Experience with embedded systems, device drivers, or firmware development is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with industrial control, printing, imaging, or related domains is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, cross-functional team, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly in both technical and non-technical contexts.
