Role Description This full-time Senior Software Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Glastonbury, CT, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain software solutions for industrial printing and control systems, including embedded software, drivers, and application-level code. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and technicians to define requirements, architect systems, and integrate hardware and software components. The role involves writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code (C++, C#), performing code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing performance across embedded and back-end systems. The Senior Software Engineer will also contribute to technical decision-making, mentor less-experienced team members, and help drive innovation using modern tools, interfaces, and processors.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science principles and software engineering practices.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming (C++, C#), with experience across the full development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, services, and integration with hardware or device controllers.
- Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and designing modular, maintainable systems.
- Experience with embedded systems, device drivers, or firmware development is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with industrial control, printing, imaging, or related domains is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, cross-functional team, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly in both technical and non-technical contexts.
