Accountant – US Bookkeeping, AR/AP & Tax

We are seeking a smart, detail-oriented Accountant and Bookkeeper

Industrility is looking for a smart, detail-oriented, and trustworthy junior finance professional with a good understanding of the US tax system to serve as our dedicated finance hire. You will take ownership of accounts receivable, accounts payable, day-to-day bookkeeping, and tax support, working closely with the Co-Founders and our external US CPA firm for tax filing. Strong written and spoken English and clear communication are important, since you will coordinate directly with our US-based accountants, vendors, and customers. As the founding member of the finance function, you will have the opportunity to learn on the job, build processes from the ground up, and grow with the company over time.

Role and responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping in Zoho Books, keeping records accurate and up to date.
• Manage the accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment follow-up, and customer account reconciliation.
• Manage the accounts payable cycle, including recording vendor bills, processing payments, and vendor reconciliation.
• Support month-end close activities, including basic journal entries and account reconciliations, under guidance from the Co-Founders and our external US CPA firm.
• Assist in coordinating with our US CPA firm and tax software on federal and state tax filings, and sales/use tax, helping compile documents and data as needed.
• Help prepare simple financial reports and summaries for the Co-Founders on a regular cadence.
• Support expense tracking, vendor payments, and basic payroll administration.
• Keep financial records organized and audit-ready to support future fundraising and investor due diligence.
• Learn and help maintain Industrility's finance systems, tools, and controls, with room to take on more responsibility as you grow into the role.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, in writing and over calls, with the Co-Founders, our US CPA firm, vendors, and customers. ### Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; a professional qualification such as CA (Inter), CMA, or ACCA is a plus but not required.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping; candidates who are sharp, eager to learn, and new to the workforce are also welcome to apply.
• A good working understanding of the US tax system (federal, state, and sales tax basics); prior exposure to US clients or US accounting is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is required; familiarity with US tax preparation or filing software is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with clear, confident communication skills for direct coordination with US-based stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and Excel.
• Comfortable working with some overlap into US business hours.
• High integrity and trustworthiness, given direct exposure to company finances.
• A smart, curious, and eager-to-learn mindset, with the ability to pick up new tools and processes quickly.
