*#1 Strong Backend Node.js Developer & Must have 6+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience using Node.js building production-grade systems for B2C products at meaningful consumer scale *

#2 Must be AI-native in their own engineering workflow: already uses LLMs and agentic tooling across the SDLC, from design and code generation through testing and debugging

#3 Mandatory (Company) – Must have worked in B2C product companies / startups at meaningful consumer scale. (WealthTech, FinTech, or high-growth consumer product background is highly preferred)

#4 Mandatory (AI Product) – Must have experience building and shipping products that use LLMs and agentic workflows to end users.

#5 Founding tech team role. Work from office, 6 days a week. Candidate must be willing to own the backend end to end and set engineering standards

#7 The company will match the candidate's current CTC only (ESOPs will be offered as part of the compensation package) No salary hike will be provided over the candidate's current CTC.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and build the core Node.js services and REST APIs from scratch, built to scale as we grow.

• Own system design end to end: service boundaries, data flow, caching, queueing, failure modes, and scale.

• Ship AI/ML-powered features, including LLM and agentic capabilities.

• Use LLMs and agentic tooling across the SDLC, from design and code generation to testing and debugging.

• Model data and optimize SQL/NoSQL queries for performance; integrate with third-party platforms.

• Debug production issues, own reliability, and set the engineering standards the rest of the team will grow into.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: 6+ years building production backend systems in Node.js for B2C products at meaningful scale.

• System Design: This one matters a lot to us. You can reason clearly about scalability, reliability, and trade-offs under real constraints.

• Fundamentals: Strong grasp of API design, service-oriented architecture, data structures, algorithms, and clean code.

• Databases: Depth in SQL and/or NoSQL, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• AI-Native: You already use LLMs and agentic approaches to maximize your own efficiency as an engineer.

• Mindset: You enjoy the pace and breadth of a small team, and you are happy picking up whatever moves the product forward.
