Role Description

The Co-Founder: Head of Product Architecture and Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. You are not an employee; you are a Day 1 Co-Founder owning the physical product from concept to the factory floor.

Your mandate is to own the end-to-end product vision, structure, and aesthetic language of BLOC MFG. You will lead the design pipeline from research and architectural flat-sketching through prototyping, pattern grading, fit testing, and final factory production. You will dictate material sourcing, lock in hardware standards (eliminating cheap trims), and work directly with mills and production teams to ensure every silhouette aligns with our brutalist, luxury-grade positioning.

Qualifications

Technical Obsession:
Proven experience in apparel product design, advanced pattern development, and technical construction. You understand the math and geometry of how a 400+ GSM fabric actually drapes on a human body.
Factory Floor Reality:
Demonstrated ability to build flawless tech packs, lead fit sessions, and manage the final production handoff. You have actual experience navigating domestic manufacturing in India.
Material Authority:
Deep knowledge of fabric innovation, pre-shrinking processes, ribbing elasticity, and premium hardware sourcing (e.g., YKK Excella, Riri).
Anti-Corporate Mindset:
Comfort working in a fast-paced, experimental environment with a scarcity-driven drop model. You want to build a physical product, not just sit in meetings.
Educational Foundation:
Background in fashion technology, garment engineering, or fashion design (Alumni of NIFT, Pearl Academy, or equivalent highly preferred).
The Mandate:
Your portfolio must showcase architectural cuts, material innovation, tech packs, and physical garment construction. If your portfolio is strictly digital graphic tees, your application will be ignored.
