Seeking passionate and skilled 2D Illustration Interns to contribute to the visual development of an original animated feature film currently in early-stage development for a company. This role focuses on creating character and world designs that will directly translate into a 3D animation pipeline.

Role Responsibilities
Character Illustration (~15 Characters)
- Create detailed character designs based on provided briefs.
- Define silhouettes, proportions, costume design, and personality expression.
- Develop turnarounds (front, side, back), expression sheets, and key poses.
- Ensure designs are structured clearly for 3D translation (form, volume, layering). World & Environment Illustration (3 Worlds)
- Design visually distinct yet cohesive worlds.
- Develop environment concepts, architecture, and visual language.
- Create color scripts, lighting references, and mood frames.
- Produce key illustrations integrating characters within environments.
- Contribute to building a complete visual pitch for the film, combining characters, worlds, and key frames into a cohesive presentation. Interns may work independently or as part of a small team depending on task allocation. The role requires ownership, consistency, and the ability to execute within a defined creative direction.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio in character and/or environment illustration.
- Good understanding of form, perspective, and depth.
- Ability to design with 3D translation in mind.
- Awareness of current animation styles, trends, and visual storytelling approaches. An affinity toward Indian culture, heritage, and storytelling is a strong advantage. Interest in Indian mythology or philosophical themes is welcome but not mandatory.
Technical Requirements (Preferred Tools)
- Photoshop / Procreate

- Blender (optional, for form understanding)
Compensation
- Stipend-based, linked to approved deliverables completed during the internship.
