The platform already includes multi-model chat, intelligent routing, BYOK, pro and team-user features, subscriptions, token plans, team management, web search, image and video generation, mobile functionality and a browser extension.

We are now looking for a hands-on CTO-level leader to take ownership of the platform, strengthen security and scalability, and continue improving the product ready for launch.

The Role
This is a combined leadership and engineering position.
The successful candidate must be able to review architecture, write and review code, deploy and test the platform, lead future development and help guide commercial and technical decisions.
This is not a purely advisory or DevOps role. We need someone who can take direct ownership of the product and its long-term technical direction.

Key Responsibilities
Review and deploy the existing web, backend, mobile and browser extension codebases.
Compare the transferred version with our current platform and safely integrate the strongest features.
Improve the frontend, backend, APIs and overall user experience.
Strengthen security, authentication, permissions, BYOK protection and multi-tenant isolation.
Review Supabase, PostgreSQL, Edge Functions, database migrations and RLS policies.
Improve AI routing, features, token tracking, model fallbacks and usage controls.
Strengthen subscriptions, billing, team plans and payment integrations.
Improve scalability, reliability, monitoring, backups and deployment processes.
Identify technical debt, security risks and performance bottlenecks.
Create and manage the technical roadmap.
Lead developers, contractors and external technical partners.
Support enterprise customers, technical due diligence and future compliance requirements.
Ensure the company retains full ownership of its code, infrastructure and technical accounts.

Financial and Commercial Responsibilities
The CTO must also understand the financial side of an AI SaaS business.

This includes:
Modeling AI, hosting, database and infrastructure costs.
Tracking cost per user, token usage and gross margin by plan.
Helping design sustainable pricing, token allowances and subscription plans.
Forecasting technical costs as the user base grows.
Creating technical budgets and supporting cash-flow and runway planning.
Evaluating the financial impact of new models, features, providers and regions.
Supporting investor materials, board reporting and fundraising.
Balancing product quality, security, speed and profitability.

This role does not replace a CFO or accountant, but strong financial and commercial awareness is required.

Required Experience
Previous experience as a CTO, fractional CTO, founding engineer or senior technical lead.
Strong hands-on full-stack engineering experience.
Experience building and scaling SaaS or AI platforms.
Strong experience with TypeScript, React, APIs, databases and cloud deployment.
Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL and secure multi-tenant systems.
Experience integrating AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or OpenRouter.
Experience with token metering, model routing, streaming and rate limiting.
Experience with subscription billing and payment systems.
Strong knowledge of security, authentication, encryption and secret management.
Experience managing developers and technical projects.
Experience with SaaS pricing, unit economics, technical budgets or financial modeling.

Preferred Experience
AI SaaS or enterprise platform experience.
BYOK and encrypted credential storage.
SOC 2, GDPR or enterprise security preparation.
Mobile applications and browser extensions.
White-label or B2B2C platforms.
Usage-based or token-based pricing.
Investor due diligence or fundraising support.
Reviewing inherited or transferred codebases.

Initial Priorities
The first stage will include:
Reviewing the transferred and existing codebases.
Deploying the transferred version into an isolated staging environment.
Connecting it to our own database, hosting, AI keys and payment sandbox.
Testing BYOK, Pro Features, Team features, billing, tokens, Academy and white-label functionality.
Completing an initial security, scalability and architecture review.
Recommending what should be retained, merged, improved or replaced.
Producing a prioritized technical roadmap.
Building an initial AI and infrastructure cost model.
Beginning the approved product and technical improvements.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who combines the skills of a CTO, senior engineer and commercially aware business leader.

The right person should be able to make strategic decisions, understand the financial impact of technology and also work directly in the codebase when needed.
