About the job
About the Opportunity
Enterprise AI agents are beginning to access sensitive data, call business-critical tools, make decisions and execute real-world actions. However, most companies still lack a central way to control what these agents can do, enforce policies, monitor risk and stop unsafe behaviour.
We are building a vendor-neutral control plane for securing, governing and controlling enterprise AI agents across different platforms.
Our initial product requirements and technical direction are already defined. We are now looking for a commercially driven founding GTM leader who can take this vision into the market, validate it with enterprise buyers and turn early conversations into design partnerships, paid pilots and customers.
This is not a traditional marketing position. You will work directly with the founder and technical team to help shape the product, positioning, pricing and commercial strategy.
Your Mission
Turn our existing AI-agent security vision into a commercially validated enterprise product and build the foundation of the company’s go-to-market engine.
What You Will Do
- Speak directly with CISOs, AI platform leaders, security architects, governance teams and enterprise technology executives.
- Validate and prioritise our existing product requirements through structured customer discovery.
- Identify which AI-agent security and governance capabilities create the strongest buying urgency.
- Recruit 5–10 enterprise design partners.
- Create credible opportunities for paid pilots and early customer contracts.
- Lead early product demonstrations, pilot discussions and founder-assisted enterprise sales.
- Develop our initial ideal customer profile, buyer personas, positioning, pricing and go-to-market strategy.
- Build relationships with cybersecurity leaders, AI companies, technology partners and industry influencers.
- Translate customer feedback into clear commercial priorities for the technical team.
- Build the company’s first structured and repeatable enterprise-sales process.
- Challenge product and market assumptions when customer evidence does not support them.
## What We Are Looking For
- At least five years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity, AI infrastructure, cloud security, identity, governance, compliance or developer tools.
- Strong knowledge of AI agents, agentic systems and the emerging security risks associated with autonomous software.
- Previous experience selling, launching or commercially validating enterprise technology products.
- An existing network of CISOs, cybersecurity leaders, AI platform teams, enterprise buyers or strategic technology partners.
- Evidence that you have previously used industry relationships to create meetings, partnerships, pilots or commercial opportunities.
- The ability to hold credible and detailed conversations with CISOs, security architects and AI platform leaders.
- Understanding of identity, permissions, policy enforcement, auditability, compliance, tool access and AI-agent risk.
- Experience recruiting enterprise design partners or securing early-stage pilots.
- Strong customer-validation, enterprise-sales, partnership-development and negotiation skills.
- The ability to understand deeply technical products without necessarily being a software engineer.
- Strong commercial judgement, communication and writing skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for startups and the resilience required to build something before there is an established brand, sales playbook or large team.
- A strong personal interest in AI-agent security and the future of enterprise AI infrastructure.
## You Are Probably Not the Right Fit If
- Your experience is primarily in social media, advertising, SEO, content marketing or brand awareness.
- You need a finished product before beginning customer conversations.
- You measure success mainly through impressions, followers, website traffic or marketing reach.
- You cannot confidently hold a technical and commercial conversation with a CISO or security architect.
- You do not already have relevant enterprise or cybersecurity relationships.
- You prefer executing predefined instructions rather than helping shape company and product strategy.
- You are uncomfortable with the uncertainty and ownership required in an early-stage startup.
## First 90-Day Outcomes
- Conduct 30–50 qualified conversations with enterprise buyers.
- Validate and rank the existing product requirements based on customer evidence.
- Recruit 5–10 serious enterprise design partners.
- Create 2–3 credible paid-pilot opportunities.
- Help secure the company’s first customers.
- Define the initial ideal customer profile and buyer personas.
- Produce a clear positioning, messaging and pricing hypothesis.
- Establish a structured customer-feedback process with the technical team.
- Build the foundation of the company’s early enterprise-sales pipeline.
## Compensation Structure
The initial engagement will be structured as a performance-based 3–6 month contract. Compensation may include a combination of:
- Commission: Approximately 10–20% of the first-year contract value for customers you introduce and help close.
- Qualified meetings: A fixed payment for each meeting with a genuinely qualified enterprise buyer.
- Closed-deal bonus: A fixed bonus of approximately $500–$2,000 for each customer that signs, depending on the size and quality of the opportunity.
The final compensation structure will be agreed based on experience, network strength and level of involvement.
## Progression to Head of GTM
This role is designed to become much more than a short-term sales contract.
Once you demonstrate the ability to create qualified enterprise opportunities and help secure the company’s first customers, we intend to offer you the opportunity to become the company’s Head of Go-to-Market.
The Head of GTM would take long-term ownership of:
- Enterprise sales
- Go-to-market strategy
- Strategic partnerships
- Customer development
- Commercial hiring
- Revenue growth
- Company-building activities
A board or board-observer position may also be considered based on sustained performance, long-term commitment, strategic contribution and mutual fit.
A co-founder opportunity may be considered only for someone who demonstrates exceptional execution, commits full-time and takes meaningful long-term ownership of sales, partnerships, go-to-market and company building.
## Preferred Location
San Francisco Bay Area or New York, with strong access to enterprise cybersecurity, AI infrastructure and technology decision-makers.
## Why Join
This is an opportunity to help define a new category at the intersection of AI agents, cybersecurity, identity, governance and enterprise infrastructure.
You will not be joining to promote a finished product. You will help determine what the market urgently needs, win the first customers and build the commercial foundation of the company.
For the right person, this is a path from founding GTM contractor to Head of GTM, company leader and potential board member.
