About the job

Title: Product Manager

Location: Fully remote

Company overview
Crosstie is the workflow orchestration layer for property and casualty insurance operations. We coordinate and execute work across people, systems, and decisions to reduce administrative burden, accelerate cycle times, and improve outcomes for carriers, TPAs, self-insured organizations, and their customers. Founded at Harvard University’s Innovation Lab and backed by MassMutual Ventures and General Catalyst, we’re building execution-grade infrastructure for the future of insurance. We’d love to connect with curious and motivated individuals who want to help transform a critical industry while solving challenging problems in our open, remote-based environment.

What we’re looking for:
We're seeking a Product Manager to wear multiple hats across product strategy, user research, and go-to-market execution. You'll be the bridge between our users' needs and our product vision, driving growth through deep customer understanding and strategic product decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is early in their product career to gain broad experience across multiple disciplines and grow with our team. You'd be joining a small-ish team (< 30 people), that moves fast, values excellence, collaboration, creative problem-solving, and has high expectations of one another. You'll work directly for our head of product and have the chance to shape our product from the ground up, with significant growth opportunities for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on our products and users.

Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end product strategy and roadmap planning based on user insights and business goals
  • Conduct user experience (UX) research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis to inform product decisions
  • Collaborate on go-to-market strategies for new features and product launches
  • Translate user needs into product requirements and partner closely with engineering and design teams to bring these ideas to life
  • Analyze user behavior and product metrics to identify growth opportunities and optimize user experience
  • Set-up and test software configuration for product releases
  • Write and manage feature requirements for cross-team responsibilities, including engineering, data, QA, and customer success
  • Define, validate, and track feature metrics post-launch for success criteria tracking
  • Help create compelling product messaging and positioning for various audiences
  • Support product launches from conception through market introduction

Must-have Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, UX research, business analysis, consulting, engineering, product marketing, or related field
  • Experience in conducting user research, building client workflows, and translating insights into actionable product improvements
  • Basic SQL and SaaS experience
  • Analytical skills with experience using data to drive product decisions
  • Ability to create and test concepts, write clear technical requirements, and work closely with engineering
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Self-starter, organized, and comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a startup environment

Nice-to-have Qualifications:

  • Experience at early-stage startups or high-growth companies
  • Experience with software or content management system configuration
  • Experience working with, managing, and communicating with executive leadership
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools–e.g., Posthog
  • Experience with user research tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of growth marketing tactics and experimentation frameworks
  • Technical background or ability to work closely with technical teams
  • Eager to learn and take on increasing responsibility
  • Background in insurance and/or technology

What We Offer:

  • Opportunity to work with a passionate, collaborative, and innovative team
  • A culture that values creativity, curiosity, and professional growth
  • Competitive compensation package and flexible remote work environment
  • Direct impact on products that help improve people's health and wellbeing

To apply:
Please submit your application here on Wellfound, and additionally email 'info at crosstietech.com' with your resume and why you think you'd be a great fit.

Thanks,

Sean (Co-founder)

p.s. Please no recruiters, no candidates not authorized to work in the U.S., and no contractors. We also ask that you please don't reach out directly to a member of our team about this opportunity over email, phone, or LinkedIn. Sorry, but these messages/submissions will not be replied to.
