Product Lead - Regulatory Compliance

We help lawyers research, draft, manage matters, and practise law more efficiently using AI built specifically for Indian legal work.

We are an early-stage startup based in Mumbai, combining legal expertise with agentic AI systems and our own 7-Gate verification framework. We are not just adding an AI layer on top of existing tools - we are building the core infrastructure for how legal work will be done in India.

About the Role 

• We are looking for a Product Lead to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of NyaayOS product – Regulatory Compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building products from scratch, working closely with customers, and solving complex problems using AI and technology. 
• As one of the early product leaders, you will work directly with the founders, legal experts, engineers, and AI teams to create products that transform how legal professionals work in India. 
• You will be responsible for turning customer needs into product solutions, defining priorities, and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact features. 

 
What You Will Own

• Define and drive the product roadmap for legal and regulatory compliance workflows, aligned with business goals and customer needs.
• Work closely with compliance teams, in-house counsel, law firms, and regulatory experts to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities specific to compliance practice.
• Translate customer insights into clear product requirements and feature specifications for compliance-focused capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, AI, and design teams to take compliance products from idea to launch.
• Prioritize features, manage product backlogs, and balance short-term execution with long-term vision for the compliance product area.
• Track product performance using data, customer feedback, and market insights.
• Lead product discovery, user testing, and validation efforts with compliance and regulatory stakeholders.
• Drive adoption, engagement, and customer satisfaction across compliance offerings.
• Build scalable product processes suitable for a fast-growing startup.
• Stay closely informed on regulatory developments, compliance technology, and emerging AI applications in the compliance space.
• Act as the voice of the customer while balancing business, regulatory, and technology priorities.

What We Are Looking For

• 9–13 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or related product roles, with meaningful time spent building legal, regulatory, or compliance-focused products.
• Experience building and launching SaaS, B2B, AI, or technology products in regulated domains.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance workflows, and how they translate into product requirements.
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Ability to work directly with customers and convert insights into product decisions.
• Exposure to legal-tech, regtech, fintech compliance, enterprise software, or other regulated industries.

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI-powered, GenAI, LLM, or workflow automation products for legal or compliance use cases.
• Experience working in an early-stage startup or high-growth environment.
• Understanding of user research, product analytics, and experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with agentic AI systems, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI workflows.
• Experience working directly with compliance officers, in-house legal teams, or regulators.
