Job Description:
Specific Responsibilities:
- Project Planning – Works closely with the project team and business stakeholders to define the approach, activities and timelines for project execution, leveraging project management and system development life cycle (SDLC) best practices. Uses program methodologies to define pragmatic approaches for specific initiatives.
- Project Management – Applies the project management techniques to manage the workstream, achieving objectives of scope, quality, time and cost; organize and lead workstream status and working meetings; prepare progress reports; present to steering committee on a regular basis; proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues; manage project changes; develop relationships with key business stakeholders. Instills accountability with organized meeting notes and action/risk tracking.
- Team Management – Holds project teams accountable for their project responsibilities and deliverables; proactively ensure that teams are "in sync" in terms of communication, schedules, issues, etc.; develop project teams by promoting empowerment, engagement and high-quality deliverables.
- Risks, Mitigations, Decisions and Approvals – raises these milestone tasks to the program PMO to insure visibility and continuity from business lead through C-Suite leadership.
- Change Management – partners with the CM workstream Seeks to understand change impacts resulting from the project and leads the team in defining and executing change management plans.
- Proactively encourages cross-functional business involvement in projects, building trusting relationships with business counterparts to ensure alignment and buy-in to business and system solutions.
- Problem Solving and Critical thinking – must be capable to proactively tease out problems ahead of them becoming risks; critically assessing other dependencies and impacts across the 11 workstream program; bringing the details to the program PMO to discuss and solution
Nice to Haves:
- Prior experience delivering SaaS or revenue-technology implementations (e.g., CLM/Pramata, Salesloft, LeanData, or comparable Salesforce-adjacent tools), enough to speak the language and anticipate common implementation pitfalls.
- Familiarity managing vendor and consulting-partner SOWs, including tracking scope, deliverables, and timeline compression against a contracted engagement.
- Experience coordinating multi-workstream or Salesforce-connected programs where projects share data, environments, and stakeholders—comfortable managing cross-project dependencies and sequencing.
Qualifications:
•Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies and the system development life cycle (SDLC). Able to blend and “right-size” these practices to fit the project and business need; using Agile methodology where appropriate.
•Driven, proactive and a do-er with exceptional organization skills.
•A strong communicator with the ability to pull out and summarize information and tailor communication style and content for a variety of audiences. Comfortable and confident presenting to executives.
•Have an understanding of the “bigger picture”. Be able to conceptualize where and how the project fits into the company’s mission. Must be able to establish project goals, validate and confirm acceptance, challenge stakeholders, and hold stakeholders accountable.
•Ability to take a consultative approach to understand requirements, drill into details, and resolve issues.
•Ability to facilitate resolution of technical issues. Capable of interpreting technical information and communicating this information to different audiences in a way they can understand.
•Experience leading a variety of different types of projects including COTS implementations, system integration, infrastructure, business process.
•Skilled in building trusted relationships with team members and project stakeholders.
Experience:
•4-6 + years of progressively responsible experience managing a combination of software implementation, system integration, and business or organizational change management projects
•B.S., Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience
•Proven experience managing technical projects using project management best practices
•Infrastructure, Finance and Salesforce project experience (desired)
•Proven experience managing 3rd party COTS implementations and/or Infrastructure projects (desired)
•Proven experience managing projects with remote teams (desired)
•Experience working in a Corporate IT department (desired)
•Experience working in a PMO (desired)
•Experience or background in Requirements Analysis and/or IT Consulting (desired)
•Experience in Organizational Change Management (desired)
