Bespoke is building the operating layer for the modern asset management firm.

Asset management is heading into its largest structural change in decades. The work that defines advisory firms today is research, client service, operations, and compliance, and more and more of it will run on systems. Bespoke brings market intelligence, firm context, and workflow automation into one platform. The work runs on rails, the advisor makes the decisions, and every step is recorded.

Software like this only works if people want to use it. That's what this role is for.

The role

We're hiring a product engineer who is, at heart, an exceptional UX builder. You'll own the full experience of Bespoke:

• The first mile. Onboarding and first-run experiences that make a complex platform feel obvious within minutes.
• Novel workflows. Interaction patterns that don't exist yet, for how advisors review, approve, and act on work the system prepares for them.
• The design system. You'll evolve our design language and component library so every surface feels consistent, fast, and considered.
• Much more. Work in a tight-knit team where dialogue is encouraged, a sense for design and aesthetic it essential.

You'll work directly with the founders and our Head of Product. You'll take ideas from sketch to production and ship full-stack when a feature needs it. Most of your time goes to the experience. The rest goes to making sure it's built well.

What we're looking for

Exceptional attention to detail. You notice the 2px misalignment, the loading state nobody designed, and the empty state that reads wrong. You fix them before anyone asks.

Deep UX craft. You have a portfolio of interfaces people love using. You think in flows, states, and edge cases, not just screens. You have strong taste and can explain the reasoning behind it.

Builder's range. You're fluent in React and TypeScript and comfortable in the backend (Node.js or Python, SQL, APIs). You can ship a feature end to end.

Opinions, openly held. You'll push back on a flow that doesn't work and propose a better one.

Modern tooling. You use AI coding and prototyping tools every day to move faster and explore more ideas.

Experience

• 3+ years building web applications, with a clear focus on front-end and UX
• A portfolio or shipped work that shows product and interaction design judgment
• Experience owning or contributing to a design system
• Startup or B2B SaaS experience is a plus; fintech is helpful, not required

In your first year

• Rebuilt onboarding so new firms reach value on day one
• Shipped workflow experiences customers describe as a step change
• Established a design system that raises the bar across the whole product
