Start Date: Immediate
About the Company
We are a founder-stage fintech company building operating infrastructure for investment and financial services teams.
The company is focused on helping professional firms improve how they organize workflows, decision records, client-facing materials, reporting inputs, and operational evidence across complex investment processes.
The product is live, the company has working demos and sales materials, and we are now building our first outbound sales motion.
Because we are operating in a competitive and relationship-driven market, additional product details will be shared during the interview process.
The Role
We are hiring a disciplined, high-energy Business Development / SDR Associate to support outbound sales, market research, and early customer discovery.
This is a direct founder-facing role. You will help identify relevant firms, find the right decision-makers, start conversations, track outreach, and book qualified meetings.
You will not be expected to close deals. The founder will handle discovery calls, product demos, pilots, and closing. Your job is to help create the front end of the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Research and organize lead lists across financial services, investment management, wealth management, advisory firms, family offices, asset managers, and related professional services firms
- Identify relevant decision-makers, operators, founders, executives, and business development contacts
- Use LinkedIn, firm websites, public databases, Google, and approved research tools to build accurate prospect lists
- Send professional outbound emails and LinkedIn messages using approved templates
- Make outbound calls and leave concise professional voicemails
- Track outreach, replies, follow-ups, and meeting status in a CRM or structured spreadsheet
- Book qualified meetings for the founder
- Help test messaging across different buyer segments
- Maintain clean notes on objections, responses, and prospect feedback
- Provide daily activity updates and weekly pipeline summaries
What Success Looks Like
This role is measured by execution, organization, and consistency.
Expected weekly activity may include:
- 100–150 researched leads
- 100+ outbound emails or LinkedIn touches
- 150–250 call attempts or voicemail touches
- Complete follow-up tracking
- 2–5 qualified meetings booked per week
A qualified meeting means the prospect is a relevant professional services, investment, wealth management, financial operations, or executive decision-maker with a potential need for better operational infrastructure, reporting discipline, process organization, or workflow visibility.
Who You Are
You may be a student, recent graduate, early-career sales candidate, or scrappy startup operator.
You should be:
- Comfortable with outbound sales and rejection
- Professional in writing and on the phone
- Organized and consistent with follow-up
- Interested in startups, fintech, financial services, investment management, or business development
- Able to research unfamiliar industries quickly
- Detail-oriented enough to keep clean prospect notes
- Coachable and willing to improve based on feedback
- Comfortable working directly with a founder in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
- Prior sales, SDR, recruiting, customer service, fundraising, or cold outreach experience
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Apollo, Notion, Airtable, or similar tools
- Interest in finance, fintech, wealth management, private markets, startups, or entrepreneurship
- Experience building lead lists or conducting market research
- Bay Area, finance, economics, business, communications, or entrepreneurship background
Compensation
This is a commissioin heavy part-time role.
Compensation may include:
Commission-heavy Sales Role- small weekly stipend if metrics met
Equity is not guaranteed for this role, but exceptional performance may create a path into a larger role as the company grows.
Why Join
This is a chance to work directly with a founder and help build the early sales motion for a live fintech product.
You will gain hands-on experience in:
- Founder-led sales
- Outbound prospecting
- Market research
- CRM discipline
- Customer discovery
- Financial services technology

This is not a passive internship. The right person will be measured by output, consistency, and ability to generate real conversations.
