About the job

Musicraft is scaling up its music tutorial library, and we need an editor who can take clean, studio-shot footage and turn it into polished, watch-ready lessons — fast and consistently. The shooting is done for you; your craft is in the edit.

About Musicraft
Musicraft teaches music through structured, high-quality video lessons. Each tutorial features an artist performing a piece, followed by a notation play-through so students can follow along note by note. Our videos are shot in a professional production studio with the framing and setup already locked — which means the editor gets clean, consistent raw footage every time.

About the Role
This is a template-driven post-production role. Every video follows the same proven structure, so within your first month you should be able to take a lesson from raw footage to final export on your own. Twelve months in, you will have shipped a full library of tutorial videos, refined our editing template, and built a signature intro that opens every Musicraft lesson.

What You'll Do
Edit static, front-angle studio footage — the camera never moves, so pacing comes from well-timed digital zoom-ins and zoom-outs (punch-ins) on the artist and instrument.
Sync performance audio precisely to the video — tight audio sync is non-negotiable in music content.
Assemble each lesson in our standard structure: artist performance → notation play-through → closing “Know more / Read more” call-to-action.
Layer on-screen text and graphic elements (titles, labels, CTAs) cleanly and consistently across every video.
Work from and maintain our editing template so every lesson looks and feels identical.
Create a polished, reusable intro sequence for the tutorial series.

Requirements

Required:

  • Hands-on experience with a professional editing tool — Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Demonstrated ability to sync audio to video accurately (portfolio or sample edits required with application).
  • Comfort with keyframed zoom/scale animation for smooth punch-ins on static footage.
  • Clean text/title layering skills — readable typography, consistent placement, tidy animations.
  • Ability to follow a template and deliver consistent output on a regular schedule.
  • Own laptop capable of editing 1080p footage, and a reliable internet connection (remote role).

Nice to have:
Basic music literacy — ability to read notation or follow a score is a real plus for the play-through segments.
Motion graphics basics (After Effects or equivalent) for the intro sequence.
Experience editing educational or tutorial content.

Compensation & Perks

  • Stipend: ₹5,000 – ₹8,000 per month, based on skill and output.
  • Fully remote: work from anywhere; all work is post-production.
  • Travel compensated: any travel required for shoots or studio sessions is fully reimbursed.
  • Studio access: you get to work alongside a proper production studio setup and see how professional music content is made end to end.
  • Real ownership: your edits ship publicly — this is portfolio-grade work, not busywork.

How to Apply
Send your resume and 1–2 sample edits (links are fine) with the subject line “Video Editing Intern — [Your Name]”. A short sample showing audio sync and a zoom punch-in on static footage will move you to the top of the pile.
