Position Overview

AVS Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Tester to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications and audiovisual technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and engineering teams to identify defects, validate functionality, and help deliver exceptional user experiences.

The ideal candidate has a passion for quality, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
Verify bug fixes and ensure software meets quality and performance standards.
Collaborate with developers, engineers, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Test web, desktop, and cloud-based applications across multiple browsers and devices.
Perform API testing and validate system integrations.
Maintain detailed testing documentation and communicate test results effectively.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Recommend process improvements to enhance software quality and testing efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or manual testing.
Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
Experience creating and executing manual test cases and test plans.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote or hybrid team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking platforms.
Experience using Postman for API testing.
Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, or other test automation frameworks.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to testing multimedia, audiovisual, or cloud-based collaboration platforms is a plus.
