About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to lead our documentation team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality documentation for both our hardware products and software solutions.
You will primarily focus on customer-facing product guides, user manuals, and installation procedures, while also contributing to internal engineering documentation. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a key role in mentoring junior writers and shaping our documentation standards.

Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Documentation : Author, maintain, and publish comprehensive technical documentation, including User Manuals, Installation Guides, Release Notes, and Quick Start Guides for both hardware devices and software applications.

2. Audience-Centric Writing: Translate highly technical engineering specifications into clear, accessible content tailored primarily to end-users as well as installation technicians and system administrators.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware engineers, software developers, QA, and product managers to extract product knowledge and ensure documentation accuracy prior to product launches.

4. Visual Communication: Create and edit diagrams, system architectures, and process flows using Visio or other diagramming tools.

5. Mentorship & Leadership: Provide peer reviews, edit junior writers' work, and mentor team members on technical writing best practices, style guides, and tool usage.

6. Process Improvement: Utilize Confluence and MS SharePoint for internal knowledge management and project tracking, while working within our broader authoring environments (e.g., structured authoring/XML tools) to optimize content reuse and localization.

Required Qualifications

1. Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a manufacturing, telecommunications, or hardware/software hybrid environment.

2. Tool Proficiency: Expert-level experience with Confluence, MS SharePoint, , MS Visio etc .
Proficiency in modern authoring environments (e.g., MadCap Flare, Oxygen XML/DITA, or similar component content management systems).
Familiarity with graphics editing tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Snagit) for hardware illustrations and UI screenshots.

3. Hardware & Software Agility: Demonstrated ability to document both physical hardware (assembly, safety, installation, operation) and software interfaces (GUIs, system administration, APIs).
Information Architecture: Strong ability to structure complex information logically for maximum scannability and user comprehension under high-stress situations.

4. Mentorship: Proven track record of guiding, editing, and elevating the work of junior technical writers..

Good-to-Have Skills

While general technical writing expertise is our primary requirement, candidates with the following background will be highly prioritized:

1. Experience in the Telecommunications industry.
2. Familiarity with radio communication standards,.
3. Understanding of basic RF (Radio Frequency) concepts, IP networking, and telecommunications infrastructure

1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English with strong attention to detail.
2. Ability to quickly understand and learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
3. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage your own daily tasks and documentation deadlines.
